ok, so where was i, oh yeah, i got my wheels and was about to head out on my road trip. so im now in napier, the art deco capital of the world apparently, have booked in for 2 nights here and have free wifi, u cant believe how happy i am to have free wifi 24hrs, NZ hasnt really grasped the concept of free wifi yet, even if u go to coffee shops or stay in hostels they still want you to pay, makes life on the road very difficult! anyway, soooooooo. before i left me chris and his gf rose went out for a farewell dinner, rose paid, which was very nice of her considering i said i would take chris out to dinner for putting me up for over a week!

finally started our road trip on tuesday, we headed to the coromandel and stopped at thames for the night before heading up and around the peninsula, id seen it before but heather, my co-pilot hadnt and we wernt meeting kelly till the evening so i thought we could cruise roundus with the car, i still have to name it

we made it to kellys uncles place in pauanui at about 4pm and wasted no time in getting straight into the beers, good times!
we had also had an NZ chippy to go with the beers, with a large selection of pretend heinz tomato sauce
then kellys auntie, uncle and friends turned up absolutely wasted!! now i know where kelly gets her driking habits from! this is her auntie, maybe wearing a mask, pretty GLAM!

next day peter (who was sooo drunk the night b4 that he couldnt speak) took us on a hike up one of the local hills, omg did i sweat!!!me and Eilidh hardly breaking a sweat half way up

this is a john dory, its soooo ugly but very tasty! apparently its quite the prize catch, we caught 3 in total but i caught the biggest one :)

so we stopped of at kellys mums on sunday night then headed out on our trip on monday, we stopped off for lunch at tirau where they have a wierd facination with corrugated metal sculptures and signs, its a bit wierd!
then we went to rotorua and did the luge, it was ace!!!!! :) i wana do it again
ok, i think il leave it there for now, iv had a bottle o wine and feel like iv been doing this blog for days! gona move on with my life and deal with other internet issues like checking i actually have money left in my bank account
